SCHOLARS AND FELLOWS PROGRAM

Hartford Institute Geriatric Nursing Research Scholars and Fellows are selected each year for an in-depth mentoring experience with nationally recognized gerontologic nursing researchers.

SCHOLARS: Attend a week-long, intensive summer seminar at New York University.

FELLOWS: Awarded $5,000 to support research. Attend a week-long, intensive summer seminar at New York University AND have five additional weeks of mentoring during the summer, in person and/or by email, determined mutually with a mentor.

for Midwestern Researchers: July 7 - 11, 2003 at New York University

The Hartford Institute, New York University, has created partnerships with University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, as well as maintaining partnerships with Senior Advisors at the University of Pennsylvania and Yale University to plan and implement the 2003 Geriatric Nursing Research Scholars and Fellows Program.

Invitational information will be sent to nursing programs in the Midwestern states of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

FELLOWS: Awarded $ 5,000 to support research. Attend a week-long intensive, summer seminar at New York University and have five additional weeks of mentoring in person and/or via e- mail with a mentor from University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, or New York University based on mutual research interest.
