The Doris Schwartz Gerontological Nursing Research Award

The Doris Schwartz Gerontological Nursing Research Award is presented by the Clinical Medicine Section of The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) in collaboration with the John A. Hartford Foundation Institute for Geriatric Nursing. Along with a cash prize of $300, the awardee receives a plaque and compensation toward travel expenses to attend the national GSA meeting.

Eligibility requirements

A nurse researcher from any section of GSA whose outstanding research contributions have led to changes in practice, service, and quality of life for older adults.

Submissions

  • a one-page statement describing research
  • a statement of significance detailing how your contribution has improved the lives of older people
  • curriculum vitae
  • one letter of nomination
