AACN Webinars- New Adult-Gerontology NP Education Requirements
Ensuring the APRN Workforce is Prepared to Care for Older Adults is a two-year initiative generously funded by the Hartford Foundation focused on assisting nurse faculty in their work to prepare Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) to care for older adults. AACN, in collaboration with the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing, New York University College of Nursing, and the Geropsychiatric Nursing Collaborative, will be hosting four live webinars to introduce APRN educators to the new Adult-Gerontology NP Education Requirements and the multiple teaching resources and strategies designed to help make the transition. These resources provide faculty with the knowledge, skills, and tools to enhance gerontology content and support curriculum redesign in programs graduating Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs).
