AARP Partners with NICHE and AJN The Hartford Institute's NICHE program is in partnership with the AARP Foundation and the American Journal of Nursing (AJN) in a project to help health professionals work more effectively with family caregivers. Spearheaded by the AARP Foundation and funded by a grant from the Jacob & Valeria Langeloth Foundation, this initiative is creating educational materials and toolkits to help nurses and social workers provide more effective support for family caregivers. Eldercare Workforce Alliance
The Eldercare Workforce Alliance is a group of 29 national organizations, joined together to address the immediate and future workforce crisis in caring for an aging America. This group was in response to the the Institute of Medicine's critical report, Retooling for an Aging America: Building the Health Care Workforce, and represents consumers, family caregivers, the direct-care workforce, and healthcare professionals and proposes practical solutions to strengthen eldercare workforce and improve the quality of care. National Partnership for Women and Families: Campaign for Better Care NICHE is also part of an exciting health care initiative, the Campaign for Better Care.
