Nursing Counts appeared in the American Journal of Nursing as a periodic column provided by The Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing (HIGN). The columns highlighted data that illustrated the value of nursing in the areas of hospital, long term and community health care. This advocacy effort by the Hartford Institute reached important audiences and helped shape public policy.
